African American Heroines of the Civil War
Saturday, March 25, 2017, 12:00 – 1:30 p.m.
at the African American Civil War Museum

Join us as author, lecturer and historian of the African Diaspora C.R. Gibbs presents “African American Heroines of the Civil War,” a refreshing and highly informative look at the many and varied roles of Black women during one of the most critical periods of American history. C.R. Gibbs will introduce you to an entirely new cast of Black women whose dramatic courage, bold resourcefulness, and dogged persistence will give you new insights into some of the Civil War’s least known chapters.
