Book Talk: “Back There, Then” by Linda Crichlow White

April 22 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT

Come into the Takoma Park Library and listen to author and Ward 4 Resident Linda Crichlow White discuss her historical and genealogical memoir, Back There, Then. The book chronicles stories of the author’s ancestors, beginning before the Civil War and continuing in the 20th century from Duquesne, Pennsylvania to Washington, D.C. — notably Ledroit Park and Petworth. Ms. White’s ancestors were present at General Lee’s surrender to General Grant at Appomattox.

Ms. White will discuss the importance of preserving family history and will share how she has donated family memorabilia to cultural heritage institutions such as the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
