Pic1This workshop is an introduction to online resources for D.C. history, from government databases to blogs and interactive maps. Attendees will learn details some of these websites to better access D.C. history resources. Participants will receive an annotated list of over 40 free websites on D.C. History and are encouraged to bring laptops in order to fully explore the resources at their own pace. Space is limited, and desk and laptop computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Access to the Historical Society’s reading room is via the Newseum’s Group Entrance on C Street (enter via C Street Group Entrance between 5th & 6th streets NW). A photo ID and a security check is required. Please arrive a few minutes prior to the event start time to allow for going through security. A staff member will greet visitors at the security entrance and escort them to the reading room.

Advanced registration is required.
