Research Library Open House

September 19 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm EDT

| Free

We are thrilled to invite one and all to join staff from the Historical Society and the DCPL’s Washingtoniana Division for an introduction to the local history resources now available in the interim Reading Room at the Newseum, home to both collections during the renovation of the Historical Society’s Carnegie Library home.

The open house is an opportunity to explore the new reading room, learn about Fall 2017/Winter 2018 research hours and appointment procedures, and receive an overview of the specific collections available for research during this interim period.

Access to the reading room is via the Newseum’s Group Entrance on C Street. Access to the reading room is free; photo ID and a security check is required. Please arrive a few minutes prior to the event start time to allow for going through security. A staff member will greet visitors at the security entrance and escort them to the reading room.
