As of the end of January 2017, the Kiplinger Research Library has resumed full reference services. Make an appointment to continue your exploration of D.C. history!

After a four-month-long hiatus in library services due to unexpected building maintenance requiring the relocation of staff from the Carnegie Library building, we are thrilled to announce that full library services are now available as of the end of January 2017. Requests to research among the extensive collections of the Historical Society of Washington, D.C. may be submitted to the reference queue (library@dchistory.org), with appointment blocks available Tuesday-Friday 10-12:30pm and 1:30-4pm. As always, we request that researchers search the online catalog and Discover DC digital collections portal and include the object ids for requested material in the appointment request.
